It takes about 1 hr. by driving to reach this airport from Midtown Manhattan.
The second one is LaGuardia Airport. This airport is also located in Queens. It is distanced about 8 miles and it takes approximately 30 min. to reach this airport from Midtown. And the last one is Newark Airport which is in nearby New Jersey. It takes almost 45 min from Midtown to reach here.
LaGuardia is the closest airport to Manhattan. But among the New Yorkers, it has a hideous reputation for flight delays and terminal chaos. And the chaos is created in both ticket-desk lines and baggage claim. But in the recent times the authority has taken initiative to make the situation a little better.
